Tech Ranch Austin Bound for International Entrepreneurs – December 3-4, 2015

Over the past year, Tech Ranch has been growing…and growing…and growing. Whether it be moving into a new space last December, increasing our numbers across all Austin-based programs, or exponentially expanding our “community of practice” internationally we have been proud at what 2015 has brought our way so far.

Much of the work we’ve been doing is outside of Austin, and even outside of the United States – ranging from a joint venture in Japan to visiting delegations from Norway, Japan, France and Denmark over the past month. As we’ve reflected on this network that has been created, as well as Kevin’s most recent trip to Semana del Emprendedor in Mexico City, we realized that we need to not only travel for our international entrepreneurs but invite them to visit Austin to learn and connect. Austin has grown in every way over the last ten years with an annual increase of population growth at 3%, job growth at 3%, and an ever expanding economy. It is continually ranked on Forbes’ America’s Fastest Growing Cities list. 

Austin’s big name high-tech firms such as Apple, Google, Facebook, eBay, Cisco and HP have made the area an international hub of innovation. Paired with a low cost of living and an all around “cool” vibe, Austin is a fantastic city for young entrepreneurs.  [Read more…]
