Tech Ranch® has launched an important new program for executives preparing to grow their business now that the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) has been signed. Called Pioneer Program: US Market Entry, it is a collaboration between some of the best talent in the Austin business ecosystem, bringing together expertise and insights for Canadian and Mexican entrepreneurs looking to launch their technology businesses in Texas.
Lindsay Powell, chief marketing officer (CMO) of Tech Ranch® said: “With the signing of the new USMCA, we identified a need to equip entrepreneurs in the three signatory countries for the business opportunities that the concordat will create. Our new Pioneer Program: US Market Entry provides senior management of a company, say in Mexico, with actionable information about planning for expansion, forming the right legal entity to do business in the USA, understanding taxation, hiring, compensating and retaining local staff, as well as crafting effective marketing and sales programs.”
Pioneer Program: US Market Entry offers executives:
- a full year of access to Venture Outfitter by Tech Ranch®, the curated online learning resource and global founder network;
- a mentor to help execute the client’s business plan;
- personal coaching meetings with Kevin Koym, founder and CEO of Tech Ranch®;
- 5-days of immersive classes in Austin, Texas.
To find the right subject matter experts, Tech Ranch® reached out to the local business ecosystem. The resulting Pioneer Program is a collaboration between four companies based in Austin, Texas:
- DiTa, Inc. (https://www.ditainc.com/)
- Juice Consulting (http://juiceconsulting.com/)
- SaveDay (https://www.saveday.com/)
- Tech Ranch® (https://techranchaustin.com/)
The first edition of Pioneer Program, held in February 2020, welcomed C-suite executives from high technology companies in Mexico. Their businesses ranged from Industry 4.0 Internet of Things (IOT) solutions to non-toxic biotechnology-based cleaning products.
After completing the course, Rafael Paez, co-founder and managing partner, Gesta Ventures based in Monterey, Mexico, said: “We had a great week with our friends of Tech Ranch. We leave Austin with great contacts, valuable insights and a well-defined strategy to bring our business proposal to USA, especially Texas. We are looking forward to our next meetings.”
Tech Ranch® plans to run Pioneer Program every other month and is already taking reservations for its April class.
British-born CMO Lindsay Powell said: “We are planning future editions for different global gateways. One will prepare entrepreneurs looking to grow their transatlantic business following Brexit and the anticipated trade agreement between the UK and USA.”
The program’s name was inspired by the men and women entrepreneurs of the 1840s-1850s who headed west in search of gold and riches.
