Tech Ranch® Austin Launches New Set of Programs to Fill Gaps
in Entrepreneur Education
Austin, TX – June 17, 2015 — Tech Ranch, a startup accelerator for early stage technology companies, has announced the launch of four new entrepreneur courses, available in-person, online and virtually, to guide tech entrepreneurs through the early growth and development of their ventures. The four courses range from a 4-week inspiration and exploratory curriculum, to a 6-month intensive program structured to achieve the company’s strategic growth objectives.
With an average enrollment of 20 entrepreneurs per cohort, each course aims to develop early-stage entrepreneurs alongside their technology, product development, sales and marketing and human resources infrastructure in order to better meet the challenges of competitive markets. Attracting venture stage capital, growing their customer base and/or closing a partnership are often end results of Tech Ranch’s more exhaustive programs.
In response to a dramatic increase in demand for these programs, Tech Ranch® has added to and reformatted its coursework to ensure entrepreneurs a smooth and comprehensive learning experience. Founded by startup veteran Kevin Koym, Tech Ranch® has led over 5,000 entrepreneurs through these programs, resulting in the launch of over 500 ventures. Each entrepreneur is then inducted into the Tech Ranch® “Community of Practice”.
According to Kevin, “A community of practice is a community of people with distinct areas of expertise that enhance the success of the whole – in the case of Tech Ranch®, a community which supports each other in becoming better entrepreneurs and building stronger businesses.”
The accelerator, located in northwest Austin, has seen several alumni companies attract local and national attention. Success stories include Blake Hogan and his development of The Bunker Austin (an incubator for veteran-owned businesses), Erine Gray and his launch of Aunt Bertha (a SaaS platform to organize human service program information), the incubation of TeVido Biodevices (3-D printing of skin tissue) and a high percentage of Venture Forth® program graduates who are currently bringing in over $1M in revenue.
The four reformatted programs, available to outside incubators, accelerators and government start up groups worldwide can be found at www.TechRanchaustin.com/programs.
