Throwing Yourself Off the Cliff: Going from Avocation to Vocation
You dream and work to step across a tribal boundary. To do this you will go through a rite of transition, you will change. If you don’t, the chances of your failure will increase considerably – YOU are going to have to change to make this all work in the end. If you can disconnect yourself from those demons that hold you in-line now, the new ones will be a magnitude heavier. Yet their rewards are off the chart and could never be had if you don’t step across the boundary. Join us on June 22nd Thursday for a discussion, together with Barry Thornton, a Cultural Anthropologist, Motivator, Salesman, and Evangelist, and Kevin Koym, CEO and Founder of Tech Ranch.

About the Speaker:
Barry manages two processes very well –
He drives teams to create dialogs that make you want to change your mind. It may be what you are doing, what your are thinking, or what you want and buy. He takes complex ideas and distills them to simple explanations. He brings knowledge, common-sense, logic and wisdom to complex dynamic situations to get desired emotional results in business and cultures.
Barry is mainly focused on the technical world and people in it, owners, managers, customers. He has 34 patents in high-tech stuff from physics through computers to audio, and has created, founded and matured 5 companies and improved many more. He has a broad education in applied physics and cultural anthropology, has vision, a feel for the ‘flow’ of process, and no fear of reality (he says he is too old to be bothered with non-reality).
Time-on-the-clock has given him the wisdom to see through the BS, and he finds it all more fun and exciting than he did when he was younger
