It’s always a great time to change the world for the better.
At Tech Ranch, we believe that entrepreneurs can gain operational and tactical insight, along with community support, to spur innovation that addresses local and global challenges. We facilitate opportunities at a level that would not be possible without its global network, we work with organizations to develop their own entrepreneur ecosystems, and then we connect those ecosystems and help entrepreneurs expand to new global markets.
In 2019, we launched a partnership with the Federal Government of Mexico and university Tecnológico de Monterrey and INCmt to help Mexico’s most promising entrepreneurs grow their innovative technology startups in the United States. With more than 200 companies in its initial stages, the Innovation Bridge Mexico-Austin amplified 10 Impact Innovation startups by giving them the opportunity to come to Austin, TX, and access to resources, introductions, and entrepreneur education necessary to grow their ventures and solve global issues. Our Impact Innovation is based on technology that solves human needs, and it’s a privilege to do it in one of the most entrepreneurial successful cities in the world.
During their time in the U.S., our team introduced the entrepreneurs of each startup to esteemed investors and business leaders in the U.S.; helped them refine their U.S. business plans; guided them through U.S. market alignment; provided them with ongoing coaching and one-on-one guidance; supported their growth through weekly educational instruction; provided them with resources (office space, AWS credits, Google credits, mentors, meeting space, etc.); introduced them to the local community through multiple events; and advised them through development.
The Mexico Innovation Bridge brought exceptional results for entrepreneurs by preparing them for long-term success in the United States. Even though the numbers when up, at the end of May 2019, we were able to have over 450 introductions and connections, 2 startups began hiring US employees, we had on average 15 events a week, 100% of startups found this experience helpful in making U.S. contacts, and 7 of the 10 teams continue to be in weekly engagement with Tech Ranch more than a year after; with out of the three other teams, one has gone out of business, and the others have decided to stay focused on the Mexican market.
