August 17, 2015 – (AUSTIN) – MWR Legal, LiftFund, Tech Ranch®, and Texas C-BAR/Texas RioGrande Legal Aid are teaming up to provide a pro-bono legal clinic for entrepreneurs and start-up businesses. The clinic will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tech Ranch® (8920 Business Park Drive, Suite 250, Austin, Texas 78759).
Business owners will have a 30-minute consultation with an attorney to discuss any legal issues or concerns for their business, such as business formation, contracts, trademarks, patents, employment procedure, lawsuits, or immigration that pertain to their business operations. These consultations will not result in extended representation, though referrals will be provided to those needing additional legal services.
“Legal awareness can make or break an entrepreneurial venture, but it’s hard to know as a business person whether you’re on the right track,” said Nathan Roach, attorney at MWR Legal. “This clinic offers business owners an opportunity to get answers to their legal questions proactively and to avoid possible missteps with long term consequences.”
This clinic is generously funded in part by the Corporate Counsel section of the State Bar of Texas. Startups interested in forming and filing a single-member limited liability company (LLC) may apply to do so during the clinic.
