Our 8-week Venture Forth Program is all about accelerating success and getting your idea to the market as quickly as possible, testing and correcting along the way. Classes meets weekly and focus on launch, customer acquisition, and getting to revenue fast! Here is an overview of what you can expect:
- Taking the entrepreneurial plunge. Review your personality profile, success characteristics and aptitudes and receive insight on how to build on your strengths and who to partner with to balance your weaknesses. (Everyone has them.)
- Can I survive on a bootstrapper's budget? Get tricks of the trade for maintaining a revenue stream while you are incubating and proving your idea.
- Fail Forward Fast. Review and test ideas quickly, identify problems, and refine ideas. We apply Lean Startup models (among others) to test and iterate quickly and get to revenue.
- How do I find the right team? Identify early employees and co-founders and search through the Tech Ranch Austin network.
- Start up nuts and bolts. It’s business incorporation to financing strategies, from models to paying for healthcare, and more.
- Proving the idea before pulling the trigger. Learn when is an optimal point to take a leap and launch your venture. Too early and you are taking on unnecessary risk. Too late and you might miss your window. We will help you find that sweet spot.
- Secret (and not so secret) funding avenues. Tech Ranch Austin has a large network of potential funding sources. From Angels to Strategic Partners to Early Customers to The State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund, we will explore funding sources for your venture.
- Researching the market and the competition. Figure out key questions like, How big is the market? Who are the primary competitors? What is your revenue model? Will a pivot make a big difference?
- 3, 2, 1 Launch (or Abort)! Refine your Venture Pitch and learn how an investor and customer pitch helps you get your venture ready for conversations with customers and investors.
