Tech Ranch Austin is excited to announce our next program for emerging technology entrepreneurs: Tech Ranch Venture Forth. The Venture Forth Program is all about accelerating venture success with a goal of getting your idea to the market as quickly as possible - testing and correcting along the way.

Kevin Koym and Jonas Lamis discuss the Tech Ranch Venture Forth Program:

The Venture Forth program meets weekly for 8 weeks and explores all of the facets of launching a technology venture and thriving!

Some of the topics to be covered:

• Taking the entrepreneurial plunge - We review your personality profiles and success characteristics in the context of your particular interests and aptitudes. This gives you a picture of what you should focus on and who you need to pull into your venture.

• Can I survive without that corporate paycheck? We share tricks of the trade for maintaining a revenue stream while you are incubating and proving out your idea.

• Fail Forward Fast - The whole class works together to review and test ideas quickly, identifying problems and refining ideas that don't work into business models that will thrive.

• How do I find the right team? We discuss how to identify early employees and co-founders, and will work with you on a search through the Tech Ranch network.

• Start up nuts and bolts - We cover everything from business incorporation to financing strategies and models to paying for healthcare.

• Proving the idea before pulling the trigger - There is an optimal point when you should take a leap and launch your venture. Too early and you are taking on unnecessary risk. Too late and you might miss your window. We will help you find that inflection point.

• Secret (and not so secret) funding avenues - Tech Ranch Austin has a large network of potential funding sources. From Angels to Strategic Partners to Early Customers to The State of Texas Emerging Technology Fund, we will explore funding sources for your venture.

• Researching the market and the competition - Our expert research team will lead you in a discussion of how to figure out key questions like how big is the market? Who are the primary competitors? What is your revenue model? And several others.

• 3, 2, 1 Launch! (or Abort) - During the last week of the program, we will share our ideas and findings, and as a group we will help determine the next steps to accelerate your entrepreneurial adventure.

Bonus Feature: Access to Tech Ranch Austin - A creative space focused on accelerating pre-seed and seed stage technology ventures that might change the world.
Bonus Feature #2: Access to Tech Ranch Barn Builders - Through the Tech Ranch Barn Builders Program, we will staff your startup with qualified volunteers who will roll up their sleeves and help you succeed pro bono.
Bonus Feature #3: $100,000 in services - Depending on your venture's focus, we have lined up up to $100,000 worth of free services for each venture from companies like Microsoft, National Instruments and leading tech law firms, accounting firms and banks.

The Venture Forth program is conducted at Tech Ranch Austin where you will have 24x7 access to our work spaces, shared services and collaborative activities during the course of your program.

Class Cost:

The cost to participate in the Venture Forth Program is $495 for one participant, or $800 for a team of two.

* Tuesday, March 9th: 6pm - 8pm
* Tuesday, March 16th: Class cancelled for SXSW
* Tuesday, March 23rd: 6pm - 8pm
* Tuesday, March 30th: 6pm - 8pm
* Tuesday, April 6th: 6pm - 8pm
* Tuesday, April 13th: 6pm - 8pm
* Tuesday, April 20th: 6pm - 9pm

(Makeup sessions can be arranged on a case by case basis)
